SURAKARTA (8 December 2025) – Excitement and innovative spirit filled the GPH Haryo Mataram Auditorium at Sebelas Maret University (UNS) during the WIBAWA UNS 2025 Demo Day event. With the theme “Inspire, Impact, and Innovate,” this event served as a stage for hundreds of young campus entrepreneurs to showcase their talents. One of the digital innovations that successfully captured visitors’ attention was Rekandana, a digital platform designed to connect students seeking funding with sponsoring companies on a centralized platform.
During the Open Stage session, which was a product introduction session on the main stage, the Rekandana team, represented by Azfar (Team Leader) and Alfathi (Member), guided by their supervising lecturer Ir. Agus Ramelan, S.Pd., MT., confidently presented their solution. Both took turns presenting Rekandana’s vision to the audience, which consisted of students, lecturers, and industry partners.

Addressing Concerns About the Sponsorship Ecosystem
Behind its modern interface, Rekandana was born out of a classic problem experienced by both sides: students and companies (sponsors).
“The main background of Rekandana is inefficiency. We see that students often have difficulty finding valid sponsor contacts, while on the other hand, companies or potential sponsors are overwhelmed by piles of physical proposals and unverified emails that do not match their target market,” said Azfar, head of the Rekandana team..
In line with WIBAWA’s spirit of transforming job seekers into job creators, Rekandana is not just an application, but also secure middleware or a connecting bridge.
Key Features
The Rekandana team emphasizes two key values of its application: Validation and Efficiency.:
- Verified System: Rekandana guarantees data security by requiring identity verification for both students (using their university email) and corporate partners, thereby minimizing proposal fraud.
- Smart Matchmaking: This feature allows students to send proposals directly (Direct Proposal) to relevant sponsors. Conversely, sponsors can filter activities by category and event date in seconds, without having to manually sort through piles of paper.

Appreciation from the Deputy Mayor of Solo
Rekandana’s appeal not only captivated fellow students, but also attracted the attention of government officials. During the exhibition, the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Astrid Widayani, took the time to visit the Rekandana booth (Booth 105).

The Rekandana team explained how the application works to the Deputy Mayor of Surakarta, Astrid Widayani, during her visit to the booth.
During her visit, Astrid Widayani discussed with the team the potential of this application in supporting creative activities among young people in Solo. Her presence served as important validation that the innovations of UNS students are highly relevant to the development of the youth ecosystem and creative economy in Surakarta.
